TIL DEATH DO WE PLANT: SKULLpting workshop

carve sculpt and conjure skull planter from soft clay in this beginner friendly class. this is not an anatomy lesson nor is it hyper-realistic figure sculpting! we’ll use the skull’s shape as a general guideline, but you can get silly with it, too.
you’ll learn the basic sculptural techniques needed to form and shape a vessel, create the eyes sockets, (all) the teeth, and the weird lil nose bone to give your skull-pture it’s own personality. tombstone not included.
drinks provided, and plants are too once your skull is fired 🌱
2.5hrs -- $77 — book anytime through october 8th to get it in time for halloween.

what to expect in a skull-pting session:
what you’ll make:
we’ll take you through the basic techniques needed to build a vessel and demo how to sculpt / carve / burnish clay to get the super spooky skull you’re looking for.
where we’ll make it:
class occurs outdoors at our screened + covered backyard studio.
expect flora, fauna, and general #florida phenomena. don’t worry, we won’t get rained on and mosquitos won’t eat you alive (we have traps, fans, and bug spray just in case) but make sure to dress for a mess and the weather - long pants and/or closed toed shoes are recommended.
how we’ll glaze it:
you’ll pick your favorite glaze and we’ll do the rest! we have a couple bone-colored options for you to choose from :-)
planters will be ready to pick up by oct 1 🐊
when you’ll get it
planters will be ready by OCTOBER 1st at 12pm, just in time for the spooky season.
are all materials provided?
yes! cost includes all clay and firing.

you’re looking for a jungle house with a gravel driveway + big banyan tree in the front yard.
we have room for two cars in the driveway, but you can also park on the street / swale (not on the sidewalk, please!).
